We strive to make the bounty of Tanzania affordable. The Internet and word-of-mouth have eliminated our need for expensive advertising or middlemen. All guides are either owners of the company or directly share in profits. Through the reduction of layers of marketing and management costs, we are able to simultaneously provide high quality service and enrich the local economy.

If tourism is to grow sustainably in Tanzania, then locally owned and managed outfitters must be allowed to prosper. African Adventures is a working model of this concept -- striving to grow the local economy and to employ local residents.

African Adventures was founded by Zacharia Mark Minja with assistance from Christopher Swann . A team consisting of an American with international business expertise and a Tanzanian with in-depth knowledge of the area.
